Overall Satisfaction with Procore

Procore is used by our commercial development for construction projects from project discussions, bidding, communication, specification/drawing review, submittals, RFIs, team meetings, schedule and trade coordination, through punchlist and owner turnover. Access to documents and ease of communication is tantamount! PROCORE helps us keep projects running smoothly and keeps all the current information at everyone's fingertips.
  • PROCORE has a great history and defined integration plan. Lots of moving pieces go into managing contacts and projects and the initial integration is guided by some easy to follow guidelines with a support team at the ready. The time to implementation is short and the reward is great!
  • PROCORE is powerful in its ease of use in the field. Users in the field have an intuitive piece of software with all of the information at their fingertips. Most users can access all they need without any support.
  • PROCORE has THE BEST Support teams of any software I have ever used with email, phone and instant chat access to knowledgeable support team members as well as a customer success contact and countless u-tube tutorials and product release notes.
  • PROCORE listens to customers and institutes changes to keep making the software better, including working with many other software applications to strengthen everything through collaboration.
  • PROCORE has great support and is always available to assist.
  • PROCORE tries to do its best to work well for everyone, sometimes the multiple ways things can be done are a little harder to troubleshoot from an administrative standpoint.
  • There are always things that come up that are a little bit harder to adminster, but we have found that that comes with the territory with the complex permission levels that you may want to assign. It is easy when you get in and continue to work in the system, and better supported with constant access to help, than our previous systems.
  • PROCORE continues to grow, which results in occasional slow times. PROCORE does keep up with their growth with adding additional servers and sending out alerts when functions go down.
  • PROCORE is reaching out to different groups and not fully noticing when a change for one group affects another.
  • PROCORE has streamlined the way we communicate with subcontractors and our data management for construction.
  • PROCORE has helped us track project specific certificates of insurance, notifying us of any expiry's during construction.
  • PROCORE has helped us manage and create very professional reports and tracking files for owner communication.
DocuSign Integration has solved the chasing, recording and saving back signatures on subcontracts, owner contracts and other required documents. They are not only saved, but accessible through PROCORE to the correct team menbers.

BuildR Integration has solved the clarity of extraction issue for Owner manuals and future project information. If someone wants to repair, add on or rebuild, or merely maintain, the information is easily accessible and portable.
PROCORE has given our teams a single, routine way to track daily logs making it easy for team members to help each other out, for reference data pulls, for tracking when/where/what things happened and keeping progress moving on jobs without undue paper trails. The daily log features call logs, personnel logs, delivery logs, weather, photos and anything we could need.
PROCORE keeps us at the top of our game, this does tend to keep talented team members being able to do what they do and not be buried looking at many different systems and frustrated with inefficiencies.
Procore is out of the box ready for construction and does not require extensive management to work project to project. It is much more powerful than FileBound for construction management.
PROCORE is extremely well suited to owners and construction managers for managing construction projects of any size. We have not used it for residential construction yet, however we do think it would be great for sending out information, communicating and tracking owner selections as well as managing punchlists and owner follow-up work.

Using Procore

30 - Commercial Construction teams - project engineers, project superintendents, project managers, executive management and team support members
2 - it takes team members reviewing practices and training on new use case scenarios to keep up-to-speed and manage contacts, permissions and best workplace use workflows to keep teams efficient and successful
  • team collaboration
  • clarity and transferrableness of process and information
  • consistency, proven process
  • integration with DocuSign has improved our subcontract signature speed
  • PROCORE has many teaching aspects that help get team members on board fast
  • PROCORE has allowed us to track more in one place
  • if PROCORE extraction improved, we could share more at closeout with the owner
  • if PROCORE were more searchable (favorite photos across jobs), we could improve our RFP photo selection speed
  • if PROCORE allowed us to search contacts (bid contacts in particular) better, we could identify entry errors faster and keep up to date quicker
PROCORE is a great tool, but it is sometimes hard to add overhead costs to projects. It is a valuable tool, but the cost increases at every renewal. We appreciate the work and improvement of the application, but we have to weigh the ability to charge for it at each renewal.

Evaluating Procore and Competitors

Yes - We had previously used other document management and sharing systems. We replaced them because PROCORE brought things together in a clearer, more communicatable and workable way. It also saved us from having to save things in multiple systems to achieve the same collaboration outcomes.
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
PROCORE is easy to use and consistent across our projects. Other systems with folders allow each project to behave entirely different. The sameness across projects lets our teams be flexible and help each other faster.
We took time to review and evaluate. We tested our options. We don't think we would change our evaluation process.

Procore Implementation

Do your research into how things work and get one project up and running. Use the SandBox environment they provide to test out things that you are unclear on.
Change management was a small part of the implementation and was well-handled - PROCORE made things easier and we introduced it showing the benefits. We also had two team members who were fully trained to assist others to get them going quickly.
  • lack of subcontractor engagement , we had to talk many through how to use

Procore Support

PROCORE is constantly improving and adding features based on user requests/information and conversation. With constant change and the vast number of tools and ability of the platform, it is difficult for one person to be an expert rendering support on all tools equally. The support platform however does allow for quick assistance for that initial contact if they are not up to speed on a recent change. The team overall is wonderful!
ProsCons
Quick Resolution
Good followup
Knowledgeable team
Problems get solved
Kept well informed
No escalation required

Yes - PROCORE's attention to getting the details right is outstanding. It is sometimes hard to be on this end of things waiting and not understanding the complexity behind the scenes, but things do get resolved well and quickly!
Procore succeeds in it's instant (less than 30 second) contact on almost all occasions! They also have a way to connect with other supporters and within moment, you often have a team working on your issue.

Using Procore

It is intuitive and easy to use both at the office and in the field. Permission management and proper adding of contacts is the only cumbersome part. With folks could enter others in their office at their permission or below, or that folks who want access could prefill the fields for acceptance.
