Overall Satisfaction with Procore

I am a project administrator that utilizes Procore for all aspects of the projects I am a part of. We find that it is super beneficial for our commitments, RFIs and submittals, as well as scheduling and document processing. It helps streamline the documentation process as well as getting information to other parties quickly. This system also has been wonderful for generating historical data about our project which can be very hard to collect with as many people as there are typically involved in the construction process. All departments of our company use Procore in some fashion, our superintendents utilize the punch list feature, as well as the drawings tools, daily logs, and manpower logs. We have office personnel that also use it to track commitments and purchase orders as well as documents that are passed between owners, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Streamlining the documents being received and returned by subcontractors, clients, and architects.
  • Tracking historical data from the bid process all the way to completion of the project.
  • Commitments are neatly and efficiently outlined in the software. This allows easy access for all parties involved.
  • The bidding tools are not yet where they need to be but we have seen major improvement over the course of the last 6 months. We know eventually they will be as easy and efficient to use as many of the other features their software offers.
  • There has been nothing but positives when looking at the investment we made and the returns we have experienced. We are finding that we have cut down the submittal process by almost 2 weeks throughout the typical 6 weeks process due to being able to streamline the information for approval.
  • We have seen a substantial difference in logistic mistakes as superintendents are now being advised when purchase orders are issued and able to track the return of an executed copy. When they find there is nothing in the system this is triggering them to make calls and track down the status of delivery.
Procore was tested against many of the programs we were either currently looking into or tempted to purchase. After a long 12 weeks journey of rotating software's that were out there we found that Procore really combined all of them together in an ease of access way. With many different sides of Procore you had the Project Management side boasting your schedules, drawings, specifications, submittals, meetings, photos, RFI's, transmittal's and the bidding features. Then you would move to the Quality and Safety portion of the software featuring daily logs, inspections, observations and punch lists. The you have the availability to utilize the financial tools being the commitments, change events, change orders, prime contract, budget and the direct costs. We could not find another software where the basis of the program combined all of these features under one name. Many of the competitors were pushing information back and forth between multiple programs instead of single entry.
Procore has the capabilities unlike any software I have worked within the last 6 years in the construction industry. Procore offers a cloud-based system that you are able to log in from any tablet, or computer, and even cell phone. This has been major for our guys as wifi cards are becoming a thing of the past with the use of our tablets out in the field. Procore also has offered many features that we find to be an advantage when running a project. We particularly are fond of the observations tool as well as having the capabilities such as documenting with photos directly in the app.

Using Procore

20 - We utilize Procore for the Project Management & Field Control Functions. This would include commitments, timecards, daily logs, photos, recording weather delays. We utilize the change events for tracking pricing received on RFP from Ownerships.
We also have many subcontractors and suppliers who communicate with us through this Procore streamlining the RFI & Submittal processing.
  • Project Management
  • Daily Logs
  • Photos
