Overall Satisfaction with Procore
Procore was used by my organization to project manage an upcoming construction project that had a lot of moving parts and limited management staff to oversee the project. It made managing the entire situation easy for my team because of the seamless software and the interface was easy to understand by all parties involved.
- Alerts/notifications: Deadline dates were clear.
- Project setup: It was a breeze.
- Post-mortem Review: Lots of other project management software makes it difficult to go back after the project is done to review it.
- Costs: Pricier than competitors.
- Mobile: Our team didn't have a good experience.
- Customer Service: More difficult to get help when needed.
We've tried BuilderTrend in the past but it was not right for our organization. It didn't have the features we needed that would keep the team self-efficient. We tried Procore and it just fit. The setup was simple and we did not spend a lot of time onboarding the team. This is essential when you don't have a specific project manager and need everyone to step up.
The fact that Procore is specifically designed to enable collaboration between the GCs and subcontractors across several locations was one of the reasons we went with this software. There were a lot of cooks in the kitchen and all of the stakeholders needed to be informed constantly. The collaboration features were user-friendly and took about two days of working in the system to get used to (and that was for the most tech-unsavvy people on our team).
- ROI: With this software in place we saved money that we'd normally spend.
- The project was completed early.
- The project was completed under-budget.
- Gain visibility into projects
- Ensure information is accessible and up to date
- Track cost impacts from the field
We needed the easy setup of the project, the user-friendly self-management that the software allowed as surprises came up throughout the project, and the overall speed that it took for everyone to learn how to use the software. For us, this was just a good fit. It was what we needed when we needed it.
