Overall Satisfaction with Procore

We are an electrical subcontractor. We use Procore to manage all aspects of our job. Field employees track productivity using daily logs. These are then sent to the GC. They also mark up drawings to show completed work. We track [the] safety checklist as well as incidents in Procore. Procore is also are [a] complete source of project documentation.
  • Daily Logs - Easy to complete on the iPad, user can track dailies and post pictures.
  • Support - Procore support is of the highest quality. Extremely knowledgeable. We compare all others to Procore support.
  • Documents connect with Office 365 - this allows for collaboration and fast editing of docs.
  • Sync'ing with desktop so a user and save from desktop app directly to Procore. Procore Sync has not moved out of beta. It continues to cause issues but would be an amazing product if the issues could be resolved.
  • Procore Updates - Procore has monthly webinars that let you know what is being updated, but sometimes it is not clear how those updates will affect what has already been in place. For example: When Company securities were updated, it caused changes in our system we were not expecting.
  • Ability to mark up pdfs in documents. The majority of documents we store in Procore are PDFs. It would be nice to be able to edit/markup PDFs directly in Procore
  • I wish we could edit and mark up files in documents from the mobile app.
  • It has standardized the data we collect from the field - giving us clearer outcomes.
  • It has increased efficiency - allowed for more organization of data.
  • The saved time when searching through daily reports. Example: Quick easy reports allow to pull all delays fast.
We have not currently integrated a third-party software, but are looking at solutions for Vista and Cosential. Also, it is a requirement that our next timekeeping app [integrates] with Procore.
By having a financial integration we would be able to have one place our field logs into rather than multiple. We would be able to use Procore's dashboards more effectively.
As new talent emerges into the workforce they are looking for ways that technology can make things easier and faster to communicate and perform. Procore has brought many aspects of technology into the construction industry. This has allowed us to compete with non-construction companies for tech talent we would not have been able to attract in the past.
We evaluated both PlanGrid and Procore at the same time in the field. We had numerous users in each. We implemented both products. Even paid PlanGrid to train. (Procore implementation is free.) Our teams on PlanGrid abandoned their projects within 2 months and begged to be placed in Procore. We allowed the field to decide which product they wanted to use. The common comment from the field was, "Procore was easy."

Do you think Procore delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Procore's feature set?

Yes

Did Procore live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Procore go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Procore again?

Yes

In the past, our daily logs were handwritten and not very complete. Now we have a place our field is able to create great daily logs with many of the fields auto-populated from the weather, scheduled work, and manpower. They are quite proud of the work they do, and now have a place to take pictures and comment on what's going on each day.
We use Procore as the source of all information for our field employees regarding the job they are working on. I would not suggest Procore to be the source for all company documents.

Using Procore

125 - We have anywhere from 125-150 employees using Procore. Beginning with our Safety team, they collect all of their inspections, audits and incidents. Our field documents their daily logs, review schedules and markup "as builts" in the drawing tools. Project managers maintain the contracts, RFIs and submittals. Our Engineers upload BIM models for the field to use as well.
1 - We have one dedicated employee that works with the field regarding training and supporting of any product issues. We have 2 other team members with extensive knowledge to help when needed. Each of our offices have "Super Users" that we call on to help support their local teams as necessary.
  • Organization! One place to hold all documents (CYA)
  • Procore makes it extremely easy to review drawings and to know you are always working on the most up to date sheets. They make it easy to see the changes that have taken place between revisions.
  • Procore is mobile and works on the ipad even without cellular/wifi connection. Many of our locations are remote so this is a true requirement.
  • We purchased Procore to be a product for our field to stay connected with the office. It was surprising to see how much information our Safety team was able to collect and use out of Procore.
  • The connection with Office 365 in their documents area, makes collaboration so much easier.
  • Procore Connect(Beta) once released will allow for us to connect directly with our GCs on Procore in their environment. This will eliminate the amount of duplicate documentation and rework by half when working with GCs on Procore.
  • All of the data collected in Procore is available to us via API connectors and Power BI analytics. Our plans are to connect into this data to create meaningful dashboards for our Operations teams.
  • The financial connector in Procore would allow us to create POs and Change orders directly from Procore. It would help us create workflows around approvals and receivables.
As a company we have decided that Procore will become our core product. Any and all applications designed internally or purchased from a third party will need to communication with Procore when necessary. Our operations teams are committed to this product.
