Overall Satisfaction with Proofpoint Advanced Threat Protection

Proofpoint is being used across my entire organization as a line of defense against everyday spam and more elicit scams. We also use it for URL filtering and web page verification. At the time of purchase, it was mainly seen as a replacement for an older and clunkier spam solution that we didn't love. Over time, it has evolved into a bigger portion of our cybersecurity.
  • Spam filtering
  • URL verification
  • Malware defense
  • Fraud defense
  • Traffic monitoring
  • With our current setup we need to add new users manually.
  • Reports aren't that intuitive.
  • Mailboxes have to be removed manually.
  • Spam filtering for sure
  • URL defense
  • Usage reporting
  • User productivity
  • Business continuity
  • Malware prevention and protection
  • Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)
We use Proofpoint Threat Protection in conjunction with Microsoft 365. While Microsoft does have some very nice email security features that are getting better every day, we do think that Proofpoint is a value add and have no inclination to discontinue use or look for another product at this time.

Do you think Proofpoint Advanced Threat Protection delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Proofpoint Advanced Threat Protection's feature set?

Yes

Did Proofpoint Advanced Threat Protection live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Proofpoint Advanced Threat Protection go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Proofpoint Advanced Threat Protection again?

Yes

Proofpoint is definitely not for smaller organizations. I don't think that the price point and feature set is designed for that, but it is definitely for organizations that have upwards of 100 or more mailboxes that need to be monitored and protected. We do think that our organization is right in the Proofpoint sweet spot of 200+ mailboxes.
