Overall Satisfaction with Prophix

Prophix is currently being used in FP&A only. However, the game plan is to try and synchronize with other departments and make it more uniform. It addresses all the problems, has the consistency of information, and ensures that the most accurate information is always fed into Prophix for download at a later date.

  • Forecasting scenarios (ie. what if)
  • Slow/Delay in loading times
  • Cube is busy and so all other operations are on hold
  • Ensuring that we can undo our mistakes if needed.
  • Negative: Overall greater than planned costing for the year
  • Positive: more refined and accurate forecasting for future business ops
  • Positive: better tracking of business cases and initiatives
We still use Excel, but in sync with Prophix. Having this synergy is perfect as it allows us to constantly stay updated with our information. This is crucial for the strength of our organization now and in the future (as we begin to streamline and automate features). There has been a change in the way that Moneris has adapted the Prophix philosophy and we are meeting with consultants to become even more customized!

It is very organized and clean. However, the customizability does lack when you go with a larger organization. This is evident when using Oracle vs Prophix. Overall, I think Prophix has improved features that may not be fully mature yet, but the intent allows the user to make use of it and ensure a complete product.
