Overall Satisfaction with PRWeb

My company uses PRWeb to disseminate press releases to a larger audience at a cheaper price. PRWeb is a cheaper way to send a press release out over the wire than PR Newswire or a similar program. We use it when a client has a smaller budget but needs to send a release over the wire.
  • Send out a press release for a cheaper price.
  • Sends a press release to a targeted audience.
  • Help clients with a smaller budget.
  • Would be great to have a larger, more broad list of outlets.
  • Would love a better looking report at the end.
  • Get a press release in front of eyes.
  • Press release is searchable on Google and other engines.
PRWeb is at the bottom of the list in terms of what outlets the release gets picked up by, but top of the list for price. PR Newswire is the best, but costs the most, and Business Wire is specifically for press releases geared towards the business community like finance.
I have not really used the support features for PRWeb. It is pretty easy to use and really doesn't need much help unless you are sending something out on behalf of a publicly-traded company. For that, you need approval and verification from the company you are sending the item out on behalf of.

Do you think Cision PRWeb delivers good value for the price?

PRWeb is good for a client who is looking to send out a press release wider, with a smaller budget. It does not hit a lot of major outlets but does get it far and wide, and it is searchable on Google. I would not use it for a major announcement that would likely get press on its own.
