Overall Satisfaction with Qlik Sense

Qlik Sense is being used across the whole of my organization for various purposes, which includes assisting management in extracting BI from raw data we have on certain products and/or to help drive strategy based on such information, or monitoring the health of our risk portfolio and insuring data integrity. For me it presents data in a meaningful and easy to understand manner through an extremely user-friendly interface.
  • User friendly interface that is simple (even for first times users) to use/navigate
  • Powerful filtering tool which enables the user to extract information they need effectively on a timely basis
  • Really useful graphical representation of information which can be used as direct input into reporting
  • Can be slow/clunky to load at times (might be due to the sheer amount of data)
  • For some reason bookmarking does not seem to work/save my filtered view (might be due to our internal system)
  • It enabled us to monitor particular metrics of a product which in turn helped identify an error in the system loading the incorrect revenues.
  • We have been able to identify more profitable products as a result of the tool which helped use form more targeted sales conversations.
  • Microsoft BI
Other BI tools used previously was nowhere as dynamic and easy to use as Qlik Sense. Whilst they also present data in a graphical manner, it requires a lot more effort and time to achieve the same and also the user typically requires a lot more training to utilise.
I personally see that Qlik Sense is great for large enterprises where they need to make sense out of large chunks of data for both strategic and regulatory purposes - but first and foremost they will need to have the infrastructure in place to capture large amounts of information of the business activities they are engaged in. At the same time I can see it being an issue where there is too much data as I would imagine Qlik Sense would be limited to how much information it can process. It is also probably less useful in smaller companies which do not have as much information.
