Overall Satisfaction with Qlik Sense
It is being used to analyze our sales data, drill down into the categories that we focus on, and look at trending data and vs budget. It is being used across the company to see high-level sales and also to look into department-specific KPIs and ad-hoc data analysis. Reports are consumed across the company and specific users are able to build their own chart with the potential to have them create their own reports in the future.
- Scripting language
- Easy to create visualizations
- Drag and drop UI
- Presentation is simple and clean
- A little buggy.
- Set analysis can take some time to get your head around.
- Measuring our sales vs budget and forecast by category gives great insight into our trading meetings.
- Automating report generation gives time back to users.
- Having data ready when users need it is great versus having to wait for people to produce (static) reports.
Qlik Sense offers the best of both worlds in my opinion. Tableau is superior in UI and usability but with Qlik Sense there has been an effort made to have a clean, easy to use presentation. QlikView works well and has the same scripting engine as Qlik Sense (which is not in Tableau) but improves in functionality and ease of use.
