As a developer I can attest to the ease of combining data from multiple data sources. Our organization has definitely benefited from this by having the ability to access the data where it exist (i.e spreadsheets, websites).
We are aware of these capabilities but I'm not aware of any use cases.
We haven't used this capability.
I was involved in a proof of concept for Looker when we were considering switching to their product. When compared to Qlik Sense the tool didn't come close to meeting our needs.
