Overall Satisfaction with Quickbase

I've been on several teams with the company, and we used it for various reasons. As far as keeping track of. Various metrics related to operations. Within Southwest University, we're also using it to develop solutions to support our different business teams, particularly as it pertains to developing learning solutions within the university, as well as helping with project management initiatives.
  • One of the things we rely on is that it's really easy to go from concept to developed solution. You can build solutions collaboratively with the customers. That's one thing we're doing.
  • And I think as far as, uh, giving you the insight as far as visuals and graphics, we're leveraging a lot of ours, the dashboards that they've created.
  • And lastly, the automation with pipelines. That has been tremendous with automating a lot of repetitive tasks.
  • Making mobile experience better
  • Improve embedded form support with iframes
  • Better Pricing for small startups.
  • More responsive mobile forms
  • Time savings
  • Cost savings
  • Automation
By providing cross-team access to all applications, we are able to have more effective and productive collaboration sessions. We have experienced more alignment between business and development teams. This has resulted in shortened delivery cycles and less rework prior to delivery of the final products. We're also able to standup centralized access to commonly used data.
We haveve been able to build a project management application that is explicitly customized for the way we work. We've been able to share the application with customers and stakeholders allowing more access to insight and timelines. This new collaborative approach has proved beneficial for both the Business and Delivery teams.
For example, we've got some calculators or estimator tools that we're doing so that our internal customers can serve their customers better by providing automated, automatically generated estimates as far as what it takes to deliver solutions for their customers as well. So that's the best thing is adding the automation all the calculations so that we can deal more with strategy than manual mundane.
Excel required more manual updating to keep data synchronized. Users often emailed copies of spreadsheets that were outdated almost as soon as they were received. We had less control over how the data was inputted in the spreadsheets while Quickbase allows us to customize form rules based on the required functionality.

Yes

  • Building and deploying business applications faster
  • Improving our ability to drive insights from our data
  • Improving collaboration across one or more teams
There are some benefits; there are some gains because the time it takes to develop an application is tremendously reduced versus some of the other career development platforms. The average user could actually become a developer fairly quickly. So we don't have to engage as many engineering resources as with some of the other technologies.
I think collaboration is great. So one thing for us is we're able to build application solutions iteratively and allow our customers to see and provide feedback on certain phases of delivery as opposed to waiting until the end, where we may be required to reverse engineer or re-engineer major components of the solution. So having that collaboration at our disposal helps us get immediate results. And we are able to provide access to all users so they can feel like they've got a vested state as stakeholders.
I think where it's well suited is if you are in the business of managing projects, I think that's great if you're in the business of producing, timelines, things like that, trying to take things on a level above spreadsheet, so to speak. And with some automation, I think that's really where you can get into it—a really simplistic short learner-learning curve. And for collaboration as well.
