Overall Satisfaction with Quickbase

We use it to interface with many other apps in our IT department and with all our differences. Specifically, all the data that runs through it. So it is kind to use it as a collection of data. We have all our store information, and employee information, and we use the, what I use is our automation Anywhere RPA software to manipulate and download/upload data to the Quickbase sites and downtown. It's mainly just to simplify, simplify, and automate the process to make it faster and easier for everyone. We're not spending time doing all the just data entry work. All this manual labor, it just shows up in the morning. When you come to work, you can start working right away.
  • I like how everything connects to each other. So as soon as you make a change in one table or app, it automatically updates all the other apps. It's really fast.
  • It's very easy user interface as long as you build the app correctly.
  • It's really easy to make it easy for other team members to use. Our field-facing team members use it a lot for orders and look up purchase orders and stuff like shipping information and things.
  • They're working on expanding a lot to make it a little bit easier for the end users and also they're rolling out a lot of like formulas and behind-the-scenes stuff you can use and also the new dashboards that they have.
  • So you can, by role, you can really customize them to see how you can see how everything, all the data looks free for your role.
Again, more back to what I do as our RPA developer. You can take a lot of data that are different from different teams and you can use the automation to pull it all together and then manipulate it, clean it up, and then push it back out so it's all uniform for everyone else. It gets really complicated because you're talking to a lot of different systems and applications. So that's one cool way we use it for that.

  • Building and deploying business applications faster
  • Improving our ability to drive insights from our data
  • Improving collaboration across one or more teams
  • Solving a specific business challenge
  • Building and deploying an application (or multiple applications) that meets our exact needs
We have one process where all of our store managers they have to go and receive, they create orders in their stores when they need shelving for more shipping or they need labels and stuff like that. When they received the product, they were having to do a manual process to receive, and so the vendors can get paid. So we've automated that completely. We have a system they can go in and just click a button, receives the PO, and the vendor gets notified with it. It matches it up with the invoice and it's all ready to go. So it's really helped and definitely positive ROI from this.
Yes, definitely faster. Like last December our third-party time management system went down all the pay and vacation requests and stuff. So, they were able to make an app in less than 48 hours and deploy it for the whole company. It worked perfectly. Everyone was able to use it. Very simple. So we love that about that.
Probably just to start off probably like maybe four or five. You do have to do a little bit of knowledge and they have Quickbase University so you can do a little bit of training there. But once you get the hang of it, it is really exciting. You really want to just go full forward on it because you're like - I'm building like an app. So that's really fun.
There was one where, another coworker built it, but I had to go in and make a change to it, so I had to get with them once so they could explain it to me. It's not that hard. As long as there's kind of similarities between all the apps, you have base guardrails and stuff like that, but it's not too difficult to go in afterward for someone to make changes. You just have to of meet with them, and understand what's going on.
Anything with lots of data that you gotta update in a timely manner, and then a lot of people can see it it's really good. In order to interface specifically with our, what I do is the robotics process automation. We have to use a lot of behind-the-scenes APIs, calls, and stuff like that. So definitely have, I need a little bit more technical side and knowledge to use that side of it, but it's still very user-friendly and easy to start off with.
