Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions

We utilize QuickBooks in connection with clients and audits. We also take client QuickBooks files and utilize them for our audits.
  • Making it easy to use for beginner accountants
  • Items and processes appear to flow well between each other (cash data to journal entry processing)
  • Reporting - it may be my limited experience but I found it difficult to run a few reports like advanced journal entry detail.
  • Again this may be something that was limited in the QuickBooks file we received but it was difficult to navigate around the general ledger and see what was done during the year.
  • Overall a positive ROI as it allows us to receive client QuickBooks files and increase efficiency in our audits
  • Oracle PeopleSoft,Sage 50 Accounting
QuickBooks is a more trimmed down basic version of these accounting softwares and has different pros and cons compared to them including a better ease of use compared to the two listed above.
  • Fewer than 25% of my clients
QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions is most appropriate for small companies and ones that do not have advanced accounting. It is also important to know the experience of the user that will be utilizing it. It's best suited for employees with limited experience in accounting software.

Using QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions

15 - Employees mostly use it in conjunction with audits - staff and seniors will use QuickBooks files to expedite the audit process from other clients.
We use basically the experience and knowledge of our current employees
  • Expedite audit process
  • Get a deeper look into a company's accounting records
  • Control selections of testing through QuickBooks
  • We haven't been able to utilize QuickBooks in any sort of unexpected or innovative way than already discussed.
  • Continuing to utilize for audits and expediting the process
Helps in communication and knowledge of client records and is pretty common among our small audit clients.
