Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Online

We use QuickBooks Online soley for book keeping and tax preparation purposes. We have an alternative software that has a connection with QBOE to do all of our invoicing and CRM. We do not use it to its full capacity.
  • The online frequently has updates to keep its technology fresh.
  • It is a basic form of QuickBooks for those who are not familiar with Accounting and meets the basic needs of a small business. It is straight forward enough that I was able to figure it out with no accounting or book keeping background.
  • It is easy for my CPA to access the account whenever she wants. I don't need to send in a back up copy for tax review.
  • Our company has QuickBooks sync with our CRM and invoicing system. Sometimes the updates make it difficult to sync correctly or there are hiccups that the data doesn't transfer well.
  • The last update with the user interface was too drastic of a change. I am not an expert in book keeping by any means and is/was difficult to navigate with the new interface. I think in the long run, it will be easier to use, but it is too much too fast.
  • The online version is more convenient, but so much more expensive in the long run. Our company does not use half of the functions in the version we are subscribed to. It would be nice to customize the functions of my account to adjust the price.
  • There has been no effect.
We were required by our franchise to use the Online Version.
We are doing an asset sale of our company and no longer using our invoicing system. I cannot justify the cost to pay monthly vs buying the software out right.
It is convenient if multiple people are using one account, but be prepared to pay. If you aren't using an outside CRM or payroll service, it might be worth the cost.
