Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Online

QuickBooks Online is used throughout the organization. It covers all basic accounting needs for small and mid-sized businesses and nonprofits. It enables us to produce invoices, receive payments, pay vendors, and more all from the program. There are good security features to enable tiered access for various staff and departments.


  • Recent fixes to glitches
  • Chart of accounts is relatively easy to set up and manage
  • Invoicing is super easy to use
  • Inventory feature is not user-friendly
  • Fund accounting can be clunky
  • Custom reports are not intuitive
  • Reduced our time spent on basic functions
Quickbooks Online is an excellent option for small or medium sized businesses with basic accounting needs. The payroll and accounts payable features are relatively easy to use. It's not as streamlined and easy to use as some of the newer software but is generally easy to use for most basic tasks.

For nonprofits, it could build out its functionality. It also is not the best for very complex organizations who need multiple dimensions such as project and region.
