Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Online

We use QBO to track sales, invoice customers, control inventory, issue POs, and link with bank. I also do accounting work for my daughter's business. As an esthetics spa, they use it to track sales and expenses. In my opinion, the integration with Square, which is used to collect credit card payments and control appointments, is abysmal. My other daughter is a CPA and has to manually do entries from Square to QBO to keep revenues updated in the system. I feel that both platforms are atrocious.
  • Integration with banking transactions has been good
  • Don't ever enter an incorrect date for a bank rec. It is impossible to reverse.
  • lack of calculator buttons in fields where they are obviously needed
  • Invoice customisation
  • PO customisation
  • QBO does the basics for both businesses but from my experience, with immense frustration and extra work, especially for its lack of integration with Square for my daughter's spa business.

Daily frustration with the inability for the software to do the basics
Good luck getting anyone. But don't swear at the auto attendant. It will ask you to mind your language.
I am stunned that a company that has been around for so long has a product with so many deficiencies. From my experience, issuing POs to suppliers is an embarrassment. In my opinion, not only is the customisable format brutal, they include information totally irrelevant to the supplier (who is receiving the PO) and looks a mess. I feel the inability to use a calculator function in so many fields is hilarious. From my experience, if you enter an incorrect date into the bank reconciliation field? No problem. But there is nowhere to undo this, despite info to the contrary online. The dropdowns indicated in the actions fields don't exist. I feel that the inability to interact with Square for transaction sharing is awful. They have a shared app for doing so and it has the worst rating of any app in the QBO app section. I could go on and on about the frustrations of using this software. I have used Quicken personal software for over 30 years, so am quite familiar with QuickBooks logic. And I feel Quicken has been so much a better product since it left the Intuit fold.
