Overall Satisfaction with Rafflecopter

We use Rafflecopter to host giveaways for select departments of our non-profit organization. Rafflecopter provides an easy to setup platform to quickly create a giveaway for lead generation. An example would be to giveaway a pair or running shoes.
  • Easy to setup
  • Provides a good variety of entry actions
  • Has a simple end user interface
  • Does not have an API. A knowledge base article saying they are considering one has was last updated 8 years ago.
  • The list of integrated email service providers has not been updated in a very long time.
  • Must login to download payment receipts--no emailed receipt.
  • Refer a friend entry feature
  • Multiple entry options on major social networks
  • Entry by email list sign up
  • Easy method of lead generation if you have the right prize
  • Quick, easy setup that anyone can manage
Having used all three software platforms, I believe that both ShortStack and Woobox have surpassed Rafflecopter in terms of features set. It's been a few years since I've used Woobox and ShortStack so they may not be fully comparable any longer.

Do you think Rafflecopter delivers good value for the price?

Did Rafflecopter live up to sales and marketing promises?

Did implementation of Rafflecopter go as expected?

Would you buy Rafflecopter again?

No

I'd say that Rafflecopter is a good tool for a basic giveaway. It doesn't seem like they've made any substantial changes in several years. If you're looking to host a one-off or occasional giveaway, Rafflecopter will do what you need it to do, but if a giveaway platform is a major component of your marketing strategy, look elsewhere.

Using Rafflecopter

4 - The users are part of the digital marketing team at a non-profit organization. We create giveaways on behalf of other departments of our organization.
  • Lead generation
  • Customer engagement
IT does what we need at the moment, but if we consider creating more giveaway campaigns or have a large number of entires, we may look for another platform that integrates with our other tools.

Evaluating Rafflecopter and Competitors

  • Price
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
At the time of purchase, the single most important factor was price.
The next time we are looking for giveaway software, we need one that can integrate with our other platforms. This could be through direct integrations created by the company or through Zapier.

Integrating Rafflecopter

They have what they have, no more, no less.
  • Mailchimp
It was easy but very basic. No ability for customization.
  • Zapier
  • HubSpot
I have asked support in the last year and they have said they do not have plans to support Zapier or HubSpot.
  • Javascript widgets

Unless you use the email service providers they already integrate with, don't expect anything else. Here's the list of their currently integrated ESPs.
  • MailChimp
  • AWeber
  • Constant Contact
  • Campaign Monitor
  • iContact
  • Mad Mimi
  • Infusionsoft
  • GetResponse
  • Mailjet
