Overall Satisfaction with Renaissance myON® Reader

It is being used across the whole organization, mostly in English classes. It helps us measure student reading. The students stay engaged in the program, so not only can teachers monitor growth, but students can as well. The students feel and see the achievement that they have made throughout the year.

I like Accelerated Reader because it shows the comprehension level the students have after they read a book. However, I like myON because it just does a few more things than AR-- it goes above and beyond, and you are really able to see the growth your student has made on a larger scale.

I love using this in the classroom and the students do as well. It is a great way to engage students in 21st-century learning by achieving on the computer. I like that you are able to use both paper and technology. I use it about twice a week in my classroom.

Using Renaissance myON® Reader

500 - This allows the students to read independently and as a whole class. The students are presented with a grade-level article, along with comprehension questions that allow the teacher to see if the student understood the reading. It is an easy-to-use product across all content areas and teachers enjoy it.
