Overall Satisfaction with Rippling

My employer recently switched to Rippling from another vendor. Rippling is SO full of information and tools, it's going to take a while for us to ramp up to using all of them! Thus far it's been seamless in terms of the learning modules offered, along with how they're administered and tracked, as well as the obvious wins such as viewing payroll and time off details, managing direct reports' requests, etc. A really robust tool with lots of potentials to support us as we scale.

  • High quality learning modules
  • Quick user guides for first-time users - would be helpful in ramping up to use ALL the tools available
  • App suggestions based on company-wide use
  • Better payroll management than our previous vendor
  • Scalable systems (apps) for performance review, OKR tracking
  • Overall ease of use = less admin time required
There are so many support articles, which can be wonderful and also sometimes overwhelming! Some sub-topics are well represented, while others are not; some guidance seems to have been written prior to recent updates, as the step-by-step does not directly coincide with the end-user interface. The most obvious room for improvement I can see is a better, more concise organization to find relevant articles, as well as better keyword searches.

The user interface is easy to pick-up, for both admins and end-users. To make it even better, I'd benefit from having in-product user guides, or easy access to a 'new user how-to' resources section. This would be particularly helpful for new end users and would allow them to more quickly navigate through all that the platform has to offer.
HubSpot CRM, Jira Service Management (Jira Service Desk), Aha!
This will be a helpful tool as we scale because it allows the integration of multiple productivities and qualitative apps, which we can use for performance reviews, OKR tracking, learning, and development, etc.

Evaluating Rippling and Competitors

Yes - We previously used Gusto, which had a cute and quirky interface our end users enjoyed, but the backend setup and ongoing administration - particularly benefits and payroll management - was clunky, not easy to use nor intuitive, and left a lot to be desired. Rippling is, overall, a much more robust tool and better suited to our company especially in this period of hypergrowth.

Yes - I've not used the mobile interface for any administrative functions, but as an end user it is easy to install, easy to initially set up, and easy to use. The interface is intuitive and not overly complex, and there are not too many extraneous functions to overwhelm someone who may be logging on just to find one specific piece of information.
