Overall Satisfaction with Rippling

We use Rippling as our platform for all things employee management. This includes hiring, onboarding, personnel management, payroll, benefits selection and administration, open enrollment, app management, device management, termination, and more. It's an extraordinary solution for startups. Better, in fact, than every mid- and large-size organization benefits management platform (ADP et al.) that I have used previously. It is VERY simple and mostly hands-off. Basically, get it set up, select/adapt the forms and benefits, and then get running with it. It definitely would support mid- and large organizations and is a much better experience than competitors. Great support, excellent options, and the add-on features are really great.

  • Employee management is exceptionally easy - all templates ready to go.
  • App management was a surprisingly great add-on - everything an employee needs automatically set up.
  • The PEO prices are great!
  • Device management is just ok - it doesn't easily fit all of our needs and is not as necessary for us.
  • The Application Tracking System is just ok.
  • The canned reports could use a little work - they suffice, and we can modify them to our needs, but some accountant-ready reporting would be great.
  • Way less expensive than doing it all yourself. The Rippling PEO is awesome - employees love the benefits, and the platform pays for itself in reduced overhead.
  • Haven't lost a single applicant in the onboarding process - it's so easy and pain free.
  • Took payroll and benefit management off my plate, freeing up hours weekly.
  • We have been able to offer a range of benefits that companies our size normally cannot.
It's hard to write a lot here because the competing products just aren't very good. I have used ADP in multiple companies - they are a huge company, and their platform feels like it. ADP is sluggish and ancient, and the benefits management is an afterthought. BambooHR is old school - not easy at all. Gusto is the closest, but Rippling is just a better overall experience. There have been several other platforms in different companies, but to be honest, I can't even remember the names of them because they were so awful I would just ship all my requests to HR and let them deal with the mess. Rippling is great, it has saved me the cost of hiring an HR person, and I have almost everything on auto-pilot. No way I could do that with the competing tools I've used.
Not a ton to say here, I have only had to contact support once in the past year, and the issue was resolved immediately. This is exactly how support should work - pain-free, very responsive, and there when I needed it. If the company is great, then support is one of those things you shouldn't need to think about.

First, it's very intuitive. The home screen is what you use most often, making navigation very easy. Task notifications are right in the center, easy to understand, and complete. I log in at least once a week for something different, and Rippling does a good job of nudging me to take action on compliance or HR-related tasks that need my attention. Second, it's easy. There is a ton of information at your fingertips, but it is organized in a way that is easy to understand and navigate. Best of all, it has the employee do a ton of HR work during onboarding through the app. Everyone wins.
I recommend Rippling to everyone. In 20+ years of managing companies and large teams, this is hands down the best platform for human capital management. Our specific problem was that, as a fast-growing startup, we needed an easy solution for offering competitive benefits and an exceptionally awesome onboarding experience (it's really competitive finding talent!). Rippling was WAY easier than the alternatives - we were shopping for benefits through various PEOs and direct from Payers, but everything was confusing and expensive and not at all easy to use. Rippling has everything baked into one platform. The onboarding can be done through the mobile app - you just invite the new hire, and they can sign everything, select benefits, etc., in minutes. Literally, every new employee has commented on how awesome the experience is, and as a leader, it is the best experience I have had in any organization. TL;DR: After reviewing several "standard" options, we landed on Rippling and have zero regrets. I will tell everyone about it.
