Firm wide data management, with a recent purchase or Polaris to enhance security.
- Recovery.
- Integration with VCenter.
- Consistency with Support Technicians.
- Not given the user manual each time there is a question or issue with a paid product.
- After hours support emailing off hours.
- Great recovery profiling and execution.
- Lack of assistance when things go wrong.
- First vendor product that was more or less hands-off. Once paid, you are on your own to figure out what your product does.
Rubrik replaced netback up a much more static and archaic data backup system. Rubrik did improve our environment, and as a person who inherited the role of data management, there were some learning curves. In some cases for a new user, there are so many bells and whistles the interface can be overwhelming or vague in functionality.
So far we recently added Polaris Radar. To be honest I have no idea how this is protecting us or where threat assessments are located or breakdown. It is a bit of a mystery.
At this time we have not incorporated O365 / Onedrive with Rubrik.
Only a handful of Security / NOC have access and from what I gather no issues here.
