Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
Sage Intacct is our financial system of record. It is the repository of all of our financial and accounting data. It is integrated with SalesForce so that customer data is consistent and can be merged with sales process data for analysis. Our financial reporting is done through Intacct and the integrations with credit card services, expense reporting services and payroll services have streamlined our financial processes.
- Intacct has been a very flexible and versatile tool. The "dimensions" and "classes" that can be set up allow for flexible reporting well beyond the standard GAAP reporting which is very useful even in the standard templates and can be adjusted to accommodate special needs.
- The reporting capabilities are also flexible and fairly intuitive. Being able to have system reports that can be scheduled and even automatically sent to distribution lists is a feature we use a great deal.
- Sage Intacct has integrations with some payroll and credit card providers. Those integrations save a great deal of time and also help to eliminate errors. The ability to export and upload information also is a significant help.
- We have had some struggles with Sales and VoIP tax integrations. Robust integrations with companies like Avalara would be very helpful.
- The actual download of some large reports takes a long time. Reports of similar size out of SalesForce download almost immediately. Fixing that would be nice.
- Continued partnerships with expense mgt., payroll, credit card and other companies will strengthen the offering.
- It has allowed visibility we didn't have with our previous accounting package and has also streamlined our processes enough that we've been able to defer hiring.
The automation of our core financial functions has improved our workflow as well as provided deeper insights into our business.
We use the revenue recognition module which allows us to be GAAP compliant. We have also used the global consolidations features and those have been very helpful in consistent reporting across global entities.
Much more capable than QuickBooks and more user friendly and accessible than NetSuite.
