Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
We use it for our AP & AR as well as project tracking and management. It's a great tool to keep track of our projects and billings. It's mainly used by the finance department. I like the customization options and flexibility to meet our needs and any changes we may implement as a company.
Pros
- Customization Options - we are always trying to improve our internal processes and Intacct is helpful is meeting those needs when/if they change.
- Helping with our vision - at times we want to try something new or go a different direction, Intacct helps us envision how that might be implemented in a tangible way.
- Information - endless options to be able to pull data, input new data fields, create reports and organize project & financial info.
Cons
- I wish there was a way to simply void an invoice as opposed to directly deleting it in order entry-->sales invoice. It would be nice to be able to reference back to why an invoice was voided and what information was corrected, etc.
- A little more flexibility would be nice without giving full permissions in some areas (ie ability to create a list view, but also the ability to delete it. This is only possible if certain permissions are turned on - if there is already access for that user to create a list view, there should be a way for that user to edit/delete without turning on/off permissions).
- More accurate data
- Better project management
Going through our financials is a effortless and easy to review.
Being able to track the life of a project and use the data for invoicing and to track costs provides a great work flow between the operations dept and the finance dept. The program manager can see the project details in real time and can then work with finance for billables.
The customization options are one of the most beneficial aspects of this product. Endless options!
