Sage Intacct definitely keeps our numbers intact!

Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

I use Sage Intacct for invoicing, paying bills, 1099s, and tracking of GL accounts. I enter all invoices and submit for payment. We have recently went paperless, so I now save all invoice copies as attachments in each bill entered. I set up all new vendors and am able to save W-9s in each vendor file. I solely do 1099/1096 reports each year. I also run reports to see where GL accounts stand at certain times, which also helps identify errors in coding.

  • Allowing attachments with entries.
  • Ability to pay bills directly from Sage Intacct.
  • They are always adding or improving features.
  • I would like to see the automated invoice entry eventually.
  • I think that getting the settings correct to print on 1099s can be difficult.
  • I would like to see the ability to for attachments to save with their name instead of Sage Intacct generated numbers.
  • I would like to be notified of possible duplicate entries for vendors based on name, address, FEIN, etc.
  • It is easy to view our budget numbers to get a grasp on where we stand.
  • Financial statements are quick and easy to generate, making month-end tasks more efficient.
  • Month end tasks in general are very user-friendly.
  • The ability to create multiple views of each section (bills, vendors) makes it great to look at different things at different times (see all vendors that get a 1099, see descriptions of bills along with bill number and amount). You can view what you want when you want.
  • Creating a multi-level approval for invoices or bill payment helps keep internal controls on track.
We have not integrated any automation up to this point. However, if invoice automation becomes available, we are likely to take advantage of that along with payments. I believe we are in the process of setting up an inventory management system, so Sage Intacct will help with that. We do not use Sage Intacct for receivables other than tracking the GL codes that our receivables are mapped to.
In my role, I am mostly focused on bills, vendors, and 1099s. I do not have to work with any other modules, so I am not the best person to answer this question.
I did not participate in the original configuration of this product. However, I do help in configuring other things we deal with on a daily basis, and I find this process to be very simple.

I have not reviewed any other products like Sage Intacct. However, I have used QuickBooks in the past at a smaller company, and I have used an older version of Sage Intacct. I feel that Sage Intacct is very elevated in comparison to these products. I have had the opportunity to work with Intacct longer than the other products, so I have discovered all kinds of new and useful things that this software offers. I would definitely recommend Intacct above any other product I have used in the past.
Sage Intacct is amazing for any company's accounting purposes. A smaller company may be better suited with less than Sage Intacct offers, but mid to large-size companies will definitely benefit from all this software has to offer. The invoice entry and bill paying is amazing for the volume of bills we have on a daily basis. The fact that it is cloud-based offers unlimited storage capabilities, which is helpful in being a paperless company. I honestly think that any company can use Sage in some fashion for its accounting purposes.
