Overall Satisfaction with Salesforce for Nonprofits
We used it as a CRM solution to track donors and meetings to be able to find possible leads and follow up as needed. We also used it to track gifts and keep organized as new employees started and left the organization. It was our go-to tool for the development process.

- Makes sure no information is lost during transitions.
- Was quite hard to put in place.
- Had some trouble training new staff.
- Vocabulary and terms varied from our old CRM solution.
- We saw an increase in donors.
- Our retention rate increased.
- The amount of time spent logging notes increased.
Salesforce is not as robust as Blackbaud, but the price point makes up for it in the end. When my company transitioned to Blackbaud, we had to take over a year of implementation and still have issues to this day. Salesforce was easy and worked like a charm in the first few months.
