Overall Satisfaction with Salesforce for Nonprofits

Salesforce has the capacity to be a one-stop solution to most of your organization's data tracking needs. The starting point at your organization may be donor management or volunteer management or program management, but it can fast serve all other needs. It is extremely flexible and extensible.

DonorPerfect appeared to be a decent enough solution, fairly robust. eTapestry and NeonCRM left much to be desired from a UX standpoint. Ultimately, Salesforce would compare with solutions like Microsoft Dynamics, etc. since it's a well-rounded CRM solution and platform that can be applied to any industry. Salesforce for Nonprofits is just a variant of their standard offering which is targeted to for-profits, Fortune 50 and Fortune 1000s alike.
Highly recommended for any organization that has a champion and is willing to take the leap. The only dissatisfied users are those who have a poor implementation (often led by inexperienced volunteers). Also, having capabilities at even a small nonprofit that can be likened to those with Fortune 50s is a pretty great proposition. Salesforce's grant of free licenses to eligible nonprofits makes it affordable in the long run, but ROI ultimately comes down to how much value you strategically get out of it.

Would you buy Salesforce.org Nonprofit Cloud again?

Yes

It is well suited for organizations that want a long term solution, a one-stop-shop for their entire nonprofit's data and database needs. It requires an internal champion and large buy-in from the staff. It should also be implemented by someone with experience, whether it's someone who's hired on or a consultant hired for the process. It may also require ongoing investment if you want to keep adapting it to your organization's changing needs. It is not recommended for organizations that do not have some budget to invest. It isn't as easy to simply spin up and start using with minimal training.
