Overall Satisfaction with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Studio

I use Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Studio to support and manage my clients' email marketing programs with a 360 degree view—from strategic planning to implementation to reporting.
  • Email and marketing automation.
  • Data management.
  • Dynamic content.
  • The platform is extremely complex.
  • You will require at least one employee dedicated to setting it up and maintaining the platform.
  • Customer support is not great.
  • Higher open rates.
  • Higher click through rates.
  • Higher engagement rates.
  • Healthier database of users.
Mailchimp is a great choice for smaller to medium sized companies, but would recommend moving to Salesforce Marketing Cloud once your company has grown larger. I have had terrible experiences both with the Revinate and TravelClick platforms and would recommend Mailchimp or Salesforce Marketing Cloud over each platform - they simply don't come close to having the same capabilities and they can be quite glitchy.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Studio can be set up to serve industries and companies of any size. However, it can be very costly, so we typically recommend it to our larger clients. SFMC has a great a-la-carte style selection of add-on features, meaning it is easy to tailor it to your specific needs, and it is a platform that can evolve with your company, meaning it is not a tool that your organization will outgrow. If you're big on reporting, the analytics offering is quite robust.
