Overall Satisfaction with Samsung SSD

Primary boot drive for end-user, server, and network appliance devices usage through various interfaces including SATA, M.2 and NVMe Speeding up various workloads, from system startup/shutdown to video editing environments where noise needs to be minimized.
  • Reliability - have not seen a failure (yet)
  • Performance, especially NVMe, excellent for heavy tasks like video editing
  • Space-savings - M.2 drives perfect for small-form-factor network appliances or mini PCs
  • More expensive than the competition
  • Performance
  • Reliability & Warranty
  • Form factor
  • Employees are happier and work faster when their computer is faster.
  • Downtime is less likely due to increased reliability.
  • Allows for smaller form factor use cases / higher density computing, reducing cost on additional space.
Samsung SSDs are definitely one of the leaders if not the main leader in reliability and performance (arguably Intel is similar, depending on use case). There's virtually no downsides compared to other SSDs, except that they are more expensive. I haven't seen a failure of a Samsung SSD yet, but I've used enough of them that even if I saw a random failure I would still have a great deal of confidence in them.

Do you think Samsung SSD delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Samsung SSD's feature set?

Yes

Did Samsung SSD live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Samsung SSD go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Samsung SSD again?

Yes

Samsung SSDs are perfect for use cases where reliability & performance are paramount. The only downside is that they are slightly pricey, usually even more expensive than other SSD brands, and the smaller format drives (M.2 specifically) are limited in capacity compared to SATA drives, though that's to be expected sometimes.
