Overall Satisfaction with SAP Ariba Procurement

We utilize Ariba SCC for communication between Crown and our Suppliers for Purchase Orders, Order Confirmation, Ship Notices, and Invoices. This gives our Supplier a repository to receive our Purchase Order data, provide acknowledgements on the orders, give us updated Shipment Information, and Invoice against those orders. Ariba SCC helps to collaborate and process all this information in on place effectively.

  • Saved time for users due to less email communication needed on Acknowledgments
  • Increased time in ASN follow ups due to needing them for Goods Receipt
  • Greatly Increased time in answering Supplier questions on Ariba SCC issues
While it is easily usable for Ariba SCC Suppliers once they have been properly trained, there is little to no way to easily resolve issues/errors that a Supplier sees when using the system. The supplier almost always goes to the Buyer first for issue resolution before going to the Ariba SR process or the Help options in the Portal.

Decided to use Ariba SCC to replace an existing home grown system that was being used as a PO repository with additional features. Ariba SCC had the same features as our home grown system and additional ones that we could utilize. Allowed us to end the support of the home grown system and shut it down.

Do you think SAP Ariba delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with SAP Ariba's feature set?

Yes

Did SAP Ariba live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of SAP Ariba go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy SAP Ariba again?

Yes

The processing of information is very effective but there are failures that occur occasionally that I wish were less often as this results in duplicating the process for Buyers and Suppliers. Issue Resolution could be better as well, feels like it is a burden to report issues to Ariba Technical Engineers and not something that anyone likes to do. They almost always come to Crown rather than Ariba.
