Overall Satisfaction with SAP Ariba Procurement

We use SAP Ariba Procurement for our supplier onboarding and registration globally. Sap Ariba provides the company one place to check for suppliers and supplier information. In the future we would like to use the Sourcing and Contract modules and the P2P products.
  • Provides information in a clean and organized view for supplier profiles
  • Excellent at providing tasks for approvals
  • Organized view for approval flows for users
  • Integration with other tools is not very good. The APIs provided are not scheduled within the Ariba process and must use a middleware to send information back and forth between tools
  • Customer support for configuration questions. The response time can be weeks or months waiting time and the response back is often unhelpful.
  • Flexibility with company entities. With a large company with so many entities it is hard to structure and customize your suppliers into many entities. You often have to duplicate.
  • Customization
  • Support
  • Organization
  • Ease of Use
  • Faster approvals
The usability is good with the
many modules, navigating through the tool isn’t very inherent and a lot of users need assistance.
  • Product Features
  • Other
The features that it can organize all the suppliers in one area was the top feature because we have different entities in different ERPs
I am not in a position to choose Ariba over other tools

Do you think SAP Ariba delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with SAP Ariba's feature set?

Yes

Did SAP Ariba live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of SAP Ariba go as expected?

No

Would you buy SAP Ariba again?

No

The configuration for Ariba is very manual so I wouldn’t recommend it for a large company with a large web of approval flows. Setting it up and testing is extremely manual and has plenty of room for error while transferring it over into a production realm. Nothing is inherent with the tool and the documentation can be helpful when you find what you need. Searching for the answers may take a while because the customer support does not respond quickly, SAP connect does not have a great search engine to find documentation, and the answers received from support are not in depth. This is a learn on your own tool.
