Overall Satisfaction with SAP Cloud Platform

SAP Integration Suite is being used at the integration level as a facilitator of interfaces between multiple systems. SAP Integration Suite links both SAP and non-SAP systems together creating an integrated and seamless operation with both different internal divisions and 3rd parties. The SAP Integration Suite product sits within our environment and uses multiple staging tables and SAP CDS views to collect data for transfer and receipt.
  • Seamless integration - being SAP generic, the links into S/4HANA are pre-determined and relatively easy to implement
  • It is contained with the SAP operating environment and infrastructure adding to the efficiency
  • It is supported by SAP as part of our care program meaning we can access support across both areas simultaneously
  • Integration to non-SAP applications become a bit more tricky
  • Linking with systems sitting outside the SAP environment such as Azure are not as efficient as internal SAP infrastructure
  • It is specific to SAP and this tends to mean it takes specific skills & training
  • Reduction in manual processes
  • Speed of data moving between SAP applications
  • Consistent support from SAP
We use SAP Integration Suite to integrate a number of non-SAP applications both internally and to 3rd parties. Whilst the initial setup was quite involved and challenging for our technical team, once they became familiar with the product, things progressed reasonably smoothly. We have a situation now where we have an automated link between our CRM system for quote to order right through to our 3rd party logistics provider that work well and provides good productivity for our teams.
During our initial implementation phase, we had very little time to fully utilise the functionality of the product. We have been live on SAP S/4HANA now for just over 8 months and are still enhancing and tweaking our interfaces.

Due to the heavy workload during the initial implementation and settling in phase, we have yet to use the built-in analytics and machine leaning capabilities properly and analyse the good they are currently doing for us. This is sure to be a focus over the coming monhts.
We went with the SAP recommendation and chose the SAP Integration Suite. There was very minor review of other products including the Azure integration platform. We decided on SAP Integration Suite predominantly because it is standard SAP and provides a single ecosystem rather than having the applications sit across multiple platforms.

Do you think SAP Integration Suite delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with SAP Integration Suite's feature set?

Yes

Did SAP Integration Suite live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of SAP Integration Suite go as expected?

No

Would you buy SAP Integration Suite again?

Yes

SAP Integration Suite is great for SAP to SAP applications where the applications sit within the same architectural environment. It works efficiently and provides seamless integration across these application. Where we have struggled is linking to external system sitting outside the SAP ecosystem such as at Azure. This is a little more complex and also operates less efficiently that the SAP ecosystem. There is a bit of backwards and forwards between platforms that isn't always the most efficient way to operate
