Overall Satisfaction with SAP Commerce Cloud

We are a gold partner and SAP Commerce Cloud is our primary implementation platform. The bulk of our business is in the distribution, industrial, life sciences, big-box retail, and CPG verticals dealing with complex B2B use cases. We have worked with SAP Commerce since its early days of hybris and have leveraged it to work on companies with as little as one product to as many as billions. B2C, B2B, you name it, it is built to suit many complex use cases and scale like none other.

I have seen this first hand and can attest to the statement. We have a single platform for a client with over 3,000 unique storefronts and it scales incredibly well with great management of context, content, and product. It is a great platform for those looking to truly lean into digital and have a platform that both can be modeled after their business versus the platform driving their decisions, and scale with their growth into the future.
I do not personally do this integration work, however, we have multiple clients that run complex, multi-brand architectures after years of acquisitions and often have multiple backend ERP's and other systems that need to seamlessly integrate and communicate with one another, and our work there is flawless.
It is the best suited platform for large business to business organizations looking to lean into digital commerce and scale their organizations for the long term. Other platforms are better suited for early stage or mid market businesses in retail and other verticals.

Yes

Did SAP Commerce Cloud live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of SAP Commerce Cloud go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy SAP Commerce Cloud again?

Yes

Extremely well suited for businesses with multiple different backend systems, multiple brands, and billions of products. Complex B2B businesses looking to scale confidently with a single platform can feel secure in their decision [to] partner with SAP. Their out-of-the-box front-end accelerators are very dated and do not have the same level of flexibility that their backend does. For a client looking to launch a D2C or luxury B2C experience, I would not recommend relying on simply theming the OOTB storefront due to it lacking a lot of common components and experiences those audiences demand and expect.
