SAP Data Intelligence

Overall Satisfaction with SAP Data Intelligence

We used to work on a Data Lake for a huge organisation where we needed to make sense out of the unclean data and then also had to make reports out of the same. SAP Data Intelligence helped in the same. When it came to making detailed trend analysis report, we had made use of the same the most.
  • Training Datasets
  • Machine Learning
  • BI reporting
  • Data Classification
  • UI
  • User experience
  • Feasibility
  • Ease of computation
  • Steep learning curve
  • A bit pricey
At times we felt blocked and had little to no resources available to refer to and needed intervention and that’s where I have deducted the two points as this could have been much better and feasible. There is always a room for improvement when it comes to customer support and satisfaction.
Overall it is an amazing platform when you have huge amounts of data to deal with and additionally with little competency in the SAP environment one can catch up to it after a while but as I have mentioned the learning curve is still high compare to a few other products out there in the market.

We made use of the GitHub and Azure connector in order to automate our testing environment which had to go through regular testing and training in order to make a trend analysis model and this connector in particular helped us the most. Additionally we also made use to Microsoft Dynamics CRM connector.
We worked on an Azure environment and we’re taking in data from SAP and sometimes did development on the same on Azure Databricks using pySpark or SQL. Then we promote in the same based on the environment we were in. These were the major workflow items we used to regularly interact with.
When you’re working with huge datasets or in our case when we were working with data from a Data Lake we had data coming in from multiple sources and SAP was used to do transformations on the Staging Data, it particularly helped us in this scenario and to make very thorough reports once Trend Analysis was done was one such amazing feature.
