Overall Satisfaction with SAP Integration Suite (formerly SAP Cloud Platform Integration Suite)
We use the SAP Integration Suite primarily SAP CPI-DS and SAP CPI-PI for various Cloud to Ground, Ground to Cloud, Cloud to Cloud integrations. Its a standard for such integration patterns in my company. The usage of Integration suite is for enterprise applications that are deployed globally in the company. Its used to address many integrations in Supply Chain Planning, Sales & Marketing, Logistics and few other Business domains.
- Orchestration of the Integration flow works well
- Able to put inside complex transformation logic for data mapping and transformation
- Cloud Connector works well
- A database should be embedded in the integration suite for storing complex transformation rules and sometimes even master data that is relevant to the integration scenarios
- Add more connectors
- SAP SCP /BTP Private Link with Microsoft Azure as part of Embrace Architecture should be realized soon to ensure performance with Cloud deployments of S4 HANA. Even its not a direct CPI improvement area, its very relevant in our context
- Real Time data transfer Ground to Cloud for some Key Supply Chain Planning scenarios
- Enabling complex transformation across some heterogenous platforms between Ground and Cloud
- Business decision making with real time data availability
In summary, it is a solid integration platform very relevant for the modernization of our IT Landscape and supporting our Digital Transformation programs. The product is mature and easy to implement and deploy complex integration scenarios. An improvement would be to improve your Cloud Foundries and Azure Embrace Architecture.
We have not sued capabilities in our transformation at the moment.
I think they are quite competitive but considering that we have a predominant SAP landscape, SAP CPI fits best in our landscape.
