Overall Satisfaction with SAP Integration Suite (formerly SAP Cloud Platform Integration Suite)
As an administrator and integration developer, I am using the SAP Integration Suite Integration suite as one of the services for integration in the SAP Business Technology Platform (Neo Environment). The business problem it addresses is, for example, businesses would like to have automatic integration with the Australian Taxation Office to update the employee's payroll (exemption and deductions) from the on-premise ECC system to the ATO system. So, updating payroll data from SAP ECC to the ATO system (non-SAP system) is achieved via using integration scenarios in Cloud Platform Integration.
- We can use standards integration flows already developed by SAP for integration.
- Message monitoring can be easily done and we can analyze logs in case of any errors during message transfer.
- Deploying and using integration flows is really easy and convenient and we have 99.99 % availability of Cloud Platform Integration and high availability is fully managed by SAP.
- Upgrade in existing integration flows and software is required a little quick.
- Need some more learning materials created by SAP for training end-users and administrators.
- Support for cloud platform integration is limited. Hence SAP support can be increased for this.
- The manual updating and approvals have been replaced with SAP Integration Suite.
- It is based on pay-as-you-go model. Hence it is really cost effective for business.
- Downtime of SAP Business Technology and SAP Integration Suite is almost 0. Hence, easy integration developers can deploy and forget about dependency on the availability of server and platform.
The customer of IBM is really delighted and development for various integration is in progress. The change process for integration is really quick and the less wait time for go-live is phenomenal. Due to this reason, application development and integration with business on-premise applications are convenient for small, medium, and large-scale businesses.
I have not used analytics and machine learning capabilities in cloud platforms but the development and the go-live of analytics and machine learning features are in progress.
As Integration Suite is a platform as a service solution, hence, it becomes quite easy and convenient for businesses to adopt. Developers can quickly understand and make changes based on business requirements. SAP JAM collaboration and support are always available and one can get support in few hours. Moreover, it saves a lot of time when existing integration scenarios can be used for free.
