Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use SAP Master Data Governance to manage metadata for the company.

Pros and Cons

Ability to route for approval
Ability to maintain multiple types of metadata
Ability to customize different approval flows

Screens are different depending if approving from Fiori work inbox vs link in the email

Alternatives Considered

DRM was more simple to manage as a DRM business admin. Less complex, but that can also be due to how downstream systems utilize the metadata.

Usability

I am more of an approver, and it is intuitive for the most part. However, the approval navigation can differ depending on the dimension.

It has taken longer. Requires a team of MDG admins of 5 Full time and an additional support team to manage. Compared to DRM we only had 1 FTE. However, this could be a result of SAP's complexity and requires the metadata details.
