Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It is the Greenfield implementation. I focus on embedded analytics section of SAP S/4HANA Cloud. In the current company, the aim is to use it by Finance and the supply chain department but it is not limited to them. From our experience, it helps to have real-time report on the data we have. SAP S/4HANA Cloud's given CDS views are really helpful though it has some bugs like Hierarchical CDS views.

Pros and Cons

It offers quite effective Analytics reporting in the transactional system.
SAP S/4HANA Cloud-specific CDS views.

OData/Rest API service is not really the best way to handle huge data. I have some reservations about how effective it will be in Fiori using the services.
Inbuilt reporting tools like KPI modeler, APF are not really developer-friendly. On the internet there are just simple demos (SAP S/4HANA Cloud academy). We need better training for the same.

Return on Investment

We are yet to conclude on that. It is bit early for us.

Alternatives Considered

I didn't try. SAP S/4HANA Cloud is natural successor of existing ECC systems

Likelihood to Recommend

I think if it comes to managing big enterprises like my company it makes super sense to use it but small size enterprises may be too much and complex work.
