Overall Satisfaction with SAP S/4HANA Cloud

We are in migration process of our data from SAP data lake > SAP S/4HANA Cloud. This is one of big project which was going on and and all the entity across world of Siemens are in process of migration and it will run till 2028. Write now some of the business inside uses many different - different application to report data and going further it will be one platform.

Pros

  • Our main goal is to standardized the data input and report all across the world for each entity.
  • It will be easy to relocate manpower since it is standard across the company
  • It will save time as after local entry and its consolidation will not take much time

Cons

  • Some customisation are given us lots of challenges
  • Highly skilled person is required to do the customisation
  • It is really very time consuming for us as deadline to complete 2028 is also looks difficult as pilot run was not completed
  • High cost
  • Too much customisation
  • Expert are needed to handle
Over all there is no match to this with any other product available in market for such a large scale business. And we are happy to do prototype for few business and path ahead with this solution looks promising.

It is well suited for consolidation. All across the countries accountant from child/sister companies enter there input and at parent level the consolidate is done as per business need so it is very intuitive. Business need as per local law of land are required and for that customisation is difficult
