Overall Satisfaction with SAP SuccessFactors

We leverage SAP SuccessFactors as our core HR system to support employee data, learning, and development for our workforce. We wanted to create a unified platform for better self-service and improved user experience. We were also looking for a scalable cloud solution to migrate from our on-premise solutions.
  • The profile has the flexibility to configure to our needs
  • Their new features can give quick wins with high value
  • Integrations can be difficult with other vendors
  • Learning ui is quite dated and clunky to navigate at times
  • Increased speed to market. Being able to deploy changes quickly in the cloud especially during the pandemic was invaluable.
  • Increased self service to reduce administration
  • Created a global master which gave transparency into entire workforce for reporting and process
Mostly issues with vendors who do not have pre-built integrations or partnerships with SAP. It makes it difficult when trying to create the integration with the vendor who cannot support it, and SAP cannot support it.
We leverage audit capabilities in the system to remain compliant.
Workday Cloud Platform seems to integrate better with other solutions but SAP SuccessFactors does have very strong native functionality compared to Workday.

SAP SuccessFactors is well suited for larger organizations looking for a platform with broad capabilities and need the flexibility to configure. It is less suited for companies with a large number of 3rd party vendors as the complexity of integration, and its maintenance is high.
