Overall Satisfaction with SAP Vora

I provide the support for one of our diamond clients, where we have implemented SAP VORA to be used for reporting, warehousing, Marketing, HR and various other departments as per the data requirement. SAP VORA is the best service to fetch data from different sources as an optimised query engine.
  • Can fetch the data from different sources like Big data, as well as on regular DBs, and generate the report in efficient way
  • With the SQL editor as its main component, developers can easily query with the request to meet the requirement with no extra effort
  • In-memory functionality is the biggest strength, as it provides output in a fast and quick manner.
  • So far we have not yet faced any huge challenges where we could point a room for improvement, but we can say that SAP must make available a full set of documents, services, and knowledge bases that are available for their different products.
  • So far no negative impact. Clients have been happy with how SAP Vora.
  • The query result is so fast due to its in-memory functionality, and is also easy to implement and integrate with different sources . It always allows departments to meet the exact requirement whenever needed.
We selected SAP VORA because we needed acclerated integration with different sources with a huge amount of data. Also the data de-duplication has easily eliminated the different entries in a fastest and enhanced way, which ultimately leads us and the customer to prefer SAP Vora against different products, and has helped eliminate any limitations in using and playing with our data lake.
We have huge amounts of data residing on our big data nodes across the landscape, and SAP Vora is the right product to fetch the old as well as new data from different DBs, and provide output in an efficient manner. It's less appropriate of course if you do not have any data lakes or huge data banks (there is less frequent need to use SAP Vora).
