Overall Satisfaction with ScienceLogic SL1
ScieLo is very useful, especially to us engineers, it makes our life easier and efficient as the automation from monitoring (networks and certificates validity) and integration to Snow ( ticket creation for any alert/error).
- The automation of monitoring
- The integration to ticketing tools
- Can change schedules and automate the maintenance schedule of the device to prevent alerts
- For now, I can't see any problem with ScienceLogic SL1, however, I think it's good to put an option or settings with the TimeZone, since our office is in AU but we're working in the PH.
- We can gain more clients as we were able to monitor all their devices and assure that all network connections, load balancers, and servers are working good
So far NO, not yet experienced to modify my level in ScienceLogic SL1.
Yes, once our implementations are done with the project, all new devices should be enrolled to ScienceLogic SL1 and from there will monitor and maintain its production.
So basically all devices were enrolled to SNOW and connected to ScienceLogic SL1. Once there is an alert or incident it will generate ticket to snow (indicates severity level). IF change or service request we can manually set it to Snow and ScienceLogic SL1 will generate/create a maintenance schedule.
- Change schedule for and ahead notifications for certificate expirations
- N-able Backup (formerly Solarwinds Backup)
Not sure if there is automation in backup for ScienceLogic SL1 but with my previous job I think solarwinds has its capability to do it however you should have the license for its additional feature.
