Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)

We use ScreenConnect for a number of different purposes. That list includes: Supporting our Managed Service client with Remote Support through unattended sessions, Ad-Hoc non managed service clients, R&D testing, etc.

We use ScreenConnect for our technical departments - 1 being our inside engineer team and 1 being our outside engineer team.

It allows us to remotely troubleshoot issues customers are having on their network devices.
  • ScreenConnect - Launches and starts the session very quickly.
  • Having the ability to use command line from the session is VERY helpful.
  • The UI is simple and straightforward.
  • Because of the fast development on version's - sometimes when a problem is identified with the software, the resolution is to upgrade to the newest version and/or wait for the newest version to come out.
  • Please...for the love of the IT gods - There needs to be a way for the Chat Window to pop up on TOP of everything on the user's desktop. We struggle with this problem a lot when connecting to machines and users don't see the flashing icon on the start bar.
  • Would like to see more development into the Admin panel.
  • ScreenConnect has replaced our other Remote Session tools that we were previously using. It provides a cost effective solution for remote access to a machine.
  • ScreenConnect integration with LabTech has been a huge help with our RMM Engineers.
  • Being able to launch ScreenConnect with one click from LabTech has made speed of service delivery much faster for resolving issues.
The reasons we enjoy using ScreenConnect is because it is fairly lightweight and gives us a lot of control regarding using the tool. We enjoy being able to customize everything about the product. It is faster and easier than using other tools in our experience. We will continue to use ScreenConnect in the future.
ConnectWise Control is well suited for anybody looking for a fast, reliable remote solution tool. It stands up quick and you can hit the ground running with sessions. It is well suited for MSP's that have multiple clients with multiple workstations on their network. ITSP's can benefit from this tool as well from an internal perspective.

They continue to release great updates to the platform that allow for so much customization and fine tweaking. The integration plugins are continuing to grow as well.

ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect) Implementation

ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect) Training

They have updated their KB and resources on their website with extensive
information about learning how to use the tool. Their live chat is also
great for fine tuning or troubleshooting. The majority of my training
was done through their parent company ConnectWise when we started using
LabTech a few years ago. There are plenty of training documents and
videos about using ScreenConnect.
