Overall Satisfaction with Seismic

We used Seismic as a content management solution. It became our main repository for information, both internally and externally, and allowed us to get more information and data on how our documents are viewed and used. It also condensed a lot of other repositories of information and helped save the team time by putting everything in one place rather than having it all spread out.
  • Consolidates information.
  • Analytics on documents.
  • Organization of files.
  • Had to jump through hoops to allow Seismic to be used externally.
  • Very manual to build out a library, would love more automation there.
  • Organization of information.
  • Customization of libraries of information.
  • Data on viewership of files.
  • Spent less time searching for files.
  • Consolidated content libraries from other systems.
Seismic is very similar to most content management systems and integrates less easily than the Salesforce CMS (not surprising), but it is more powerful than Salesforce CMS and Highspot. Highspot is less refined and less user-friendly than Seismic but I feel it also has more potential than Seismic. Probably up to personal preference.

Do you think Seismic delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Seismic's feature set?

Yes

Did Seismic live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Seismic go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Seismic again?

Yes

Seismic is well suited for companies that have a variety of teams that need to store a variety of information. Seismic makes it easy to build separate libraries for each team and share documents across teams, so that collaboration isn't interrupted. It's more for larger teams I've found, so smaller/fewer teams would find less value in it.
