Overall Satisfaction with ShareGate

We currently use ShareGate for a number of purposes. The main purpose is migrating SharePoint site collections and content between our environments and within an environment. We also use ShareGate to run permissions matrix reports. We are currently exploring Apricot functions for our Teams purposes, however not at this time do we use this in production. ShareGate Desktop is the tool we use currently. We also love the different reporting features available for site collections. Lastly, we use ShareGate to remove orpaned users each month
  • Site Collection and content migration
  • Permissions Reporting
  • Content searching
  • Auditing -connect with MS purview
  • Better reports export for permissions matrix
  • Better user mapping (poll source and destination sites and try to auto map)
  • Site migration
  • Permissions matrix reports
  • Reports generation for custom needs
  • Time saved on migrations
  • Improved security of SP sites with permissions reports
  • Version clean up with Sharegate clean up process
Sharegate is superior in most ways except teams sites migration to GCC high tenant. It’s not possible with Sharegate but abitTitan can somewhat migrate teams to GCC high tenants. I wish MS would make available the Graph for GCC so we can utilize Sharegate Team migration tools! We love the other Teams admin tools available!

Yes

Are you happy with ShareGate's feature set?

Yes

Did ShareGate live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of ShareGate go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy ShareGate again?

Yes

Migrations from one 365 tenant to another are so easy with Sharegate that there is little work to prepare and post-check. This tool is very user friendly and if you understand SharePoint you can understand Sharegate. One other feature I like about Sharegate is that you can migrate parts of SharePoint and not just the whole thing!
