Since Sigma is the primary data tool used to tap our Data Warehouse, all departments have and continue to use Sigma to analyze trends within their respective areas to make critical decisions.
The impact has been positive to say the least. Typically, ad-hoc requests come in through service tickets. The teams receiving these data service requests are able to quickly assess, find the data, and generate dashboards that meet the needs of our end users.
Sigma compares very favorably to Tableau. However, we do experience a bit of a learning curve when introducing Sigma to some of our new employees. For the most part, these new employees come from organizations where they've used more mainstream tools such as Tableau. With that said, once the initial learning curve has been cleared, the users are able to quickly consume and generate data using Sigma.
