  • easy to navigate across different tables, databases
  • a variety of charting options
  • speed is not favorable
  • some limitations of available functions
  • improved self-service for business users, easy to use even for non-technical users
  • a good complement to other visualization tool

Yes

Did Sigma Computing live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Sigma Computing go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Sigma Computing again?

Yes

non-technical users can also build charts/tables in Sigma Computing. It provides timely info for users to make business decisions
There is a feature in Sigma Computing that breaks down chart-building into steps. So when some errors happen, it's relatively easy to spot-check which step goes wrong.
  • Tableau Desktop and Chartio (discontinued)
Sigma Computing better than Chartio in terms of functionalities. slightly faster than Tableau Desktop. However, Tableau Desktop has more features.
Sigma Computing is well suited for ad-hoc reports, without involving a huge amount of data. However, when dealing with big data, it becomes slow and hits a time-out limit
