Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We train students on the necessary skills of driving safely. Since COVID, we pivoted from teaching in the classroom to teaching online. We found the best way to accomplish this was to create an online training course for new drivers, and SkyPrep is our LMS of choice. Since that time, we have had the opportunity to create online learning courses for several very large international companies and much smaller businesses here locally. Good teachers are hard to find and what we are successful at doing is melding high-level teaching skills with the exact information a student needs to stay safe on today's complicated and busy roadways. That being said, if the delivery package is flawed, then none of that matters. Our delivery package of choice is SkyPrep because it fits our teaching style perfectly, and the students love it.

Pros and Cons

Support is paramount for an LMS and SkyPrep delivers every time
They are a great part of my team and help with new ways to deliver information
They release new features on a regular basis.

Many of the features in the newly released "Studio" are difficult to understand
It would be great if I had more control of what data my dashboard contained
Need to streamline their email delivery system and offer fewer but richer features.

Alternatives Considered

Tovuti LMS

Quicker to market at a lower price point.
Tech support was one of the key reasons we began to look for another platform
SkyPrep's tech support is nearly instant whereas Tovuti would take days to get back to me
I needed access to my MP4's and Tovuti did not allow that kind of access.

One of the features I think SkyPrep is perfectly suited for is new employee training. We are in the beginning phase of creating an onboarding course for all our new employees and are excited to use the LMS without the Mess to accomplish that task.

I cannot think of a training scenario where SkyPrep would not work.
