Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using Slack across our whole organization. It keeps employees connected with each other when they are on different clients or different rooms and it is a quick way to reach out for meetings or small questions. We also use it for discussion boards for employee interests and there are many integrations that Slack has with other things such as Trello, the Weather Channel, Giphy, and video call options.

Creation and organization of many channels
Integration of different types of apps
Interactivity for members (customization of apps, emojis, channel creation, names, etc)

Cons

I would like to have a group chat with multiple people without making it a full group

Return on Investment

I don't really know this, but I do know that it helps the company get answers to questions between teams quickly so it must have a positive impact.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is a great social tool that can be utilized in many different ways based on their integrations with other apps. If you want it for purely social usage, there is the Giphy app and custom emojis, as well as bots that are fun for social usage. On the business side, there is integration with different boards your team may use and ways to create reminders and such for employees.
