Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Slack is used in my organization for instant conversations between team members and developers for each project we are working on.

It's instant access for my support team to developers in case of emergency tech issues.

Google hangouts only go so far with file sharing and keeping track of multiple conversations and topics.
