Overall Satisfaction with Slido

We were looking for a simple platform for Question and Answer time in our organizations staff meetings.
Slido provided that and has allowed us to moderate and reply easily. The choice of QR code or the event hash tag to connect means 99.9% of people can use it with no trouble at all as most people are familiar with both concepts.
The fact that people can ask questions anonymously is another big plus for the environment we use Slido in.
  • Scheduling events easily
  • QR codes
  • Very stable
  • Post event analytics
  • Webex integration can be a little slow at times
  • Changing between Slido sessions in Webex on the side ribbon can be confusing
  • simple to connect
  • stability
  • choice to be anonymous
  • +people are more engaged
  • +reduced movement in rooms of people moving to/handeling Q&A mics for Covid protocols
  • +people can engage in the room OR remotely on a live stream
We choose Slido over the internal Q&A in the web conferencing we use because of its flexibility. Teams Live is a good example where you need to give moderators Producer rights to the whole event to be able see questions. This can give a wide range of people access to controls for the entire event meaning they could accidently stop/start the live stream or make un intended changes. Separating the Q&A moderation keeps the production side of the event safe. Also the ability to use word clouds and free text is handy.

Yes

Did Slido live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Slido go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Slido again?

Yes

We found Slido is great for a number of uses in our organization. In the higher education environment people are often scared to ask questions because they don't want to look or sound silly. Giving people the ability to ask anonymously gets the dialogue flowing pretty quickly most of the time. We have found it useful in the classroom environment but also for professional staff in meetings.
